Browns Timber Buildings was founded in July 2013 by its owners Chris & Sue Brown. After 18 years running the existing family concrete garage business, it was time to move the design and concepts used in the sectional concrete building industry into insulated timber structures and buildings. Since then, the company has grown its customer base in both B2C and B2B – manufacturing, delivering and installing hundreds of insulated buildings for a range of clients such as schools, nurseries, retail, glamping, holiday parks and general consumers.
The business struggled financially after COVID-19 due to a range of factors. Winch & Co invested heavily in the turnaround of the business to restructure legacy debts with HMRC and tertiary lenders, saving the business from default – preventing insolvency and subsequently preserving jobs.
Acquired by Winch & Co in October 2021.
